## How Launches Work

### Weekly Cycle
- Launch weeks run **Monday 00:00 UTC to Sunday 23:59 UTC**
- Founders choose their launch date when submitting
- Products transition to "Launching" status at the start of their launch week
- At the end of the week, products move to "Launched" status

### Ranking System
Products are ranked by a composite score that considers:
- **Upvotes** (weighted heavily)
- **Comments** (engagement signal)
- **Shares** (social proof)
- **Click-through rate** (quality signal)
- **Velocity** (engagement per hour)
- **Freshness** (time decay)

Featured and Boosted products receive a small multiplier but cannot outrank organically popular products.

### Weekly Winners
The top 3 products by upvotes each week are crowned winners:
